If you are a fan of Trader Joe’s, you will like this! One of my favorite items from Trader Joe’s, is the Tomato & Basil Hummus Dip. I crave for this ever since I moved out of USA! I was on mission to replicate this and I did it! If you have a blender or food processor at home, try it!
|Canned Chickpeas||14oz / 400g|
|(Reserve Water from Canned Chickpea)||⅓ Cup / 80ml|
|Sun Dried Tomatoes||8-10 Pieces|
|Fresh Basil Leaves||10 Pieces|
|Olive Oil||3 Tablespoons|
|Lemon Juice||3 Tablespoons|
|Minced Garlic||1 Tablespoon|
|Smoked Paprika||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground Cumin||½ Teaspoon|
|Black Pepper||A dash|
- Add all ingredients (except the reserved water from the canned chickpea) to a food processor and blend them until they are all mixed well.
- Slowly add the reserved canned chickpea water to the food processor and blend until the hummus dip texture has reached your desired smoothness.
- Serve with tortilla chips!
